About this collection
Explore together
Children help Tarçın look for his grandfather's lost key, trying to remember events backwards, searching each place for a clue and linking the small signs they find, such as a smell or a footprint.
In the colouring pages, children colour Tarçın searching the mint patch and finding the key, and retell the order in which he looked. In seek-and-find, they search the garden and the fountain, starting in one place and looking step by step like Tarçın.
Talk together
1) Where did Tarçın look first, and where next, to find the key? 2) What do you do when you lose something? Together: Hide a small object at home (a spoon, a toy). Before your child looks for it, ask them to tell you backwards where they last played with it today. Then check those places together, in order.
