About this collection
Explore together
Children see Tarçın make a plan when his tunnel floods, look at the problem again when the plan fails, and try a different solution: instead of stopping the water, giving it a new way to go.
In the colouring pages, children colour Tarçın building the stone wall and the channel that leads to the barrel, and compare the two solutions. In seek-and-find, they search the rainy garden and the evening garden.
Talk together
1) Why didn't the stone wall work? What did Tarçın try next? 2) What do you do when one of your plans doesn't work? Together: Put some soil or sand on a tray. Slowly pour a cup of water in from one corner and watch where it goes. Then make a little channel with your finger and try to lead the water into another container.
