Cookie and Local Storage Policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026 · Version 5.3.1
What is stored?
StoryGlobally uses technical records required for account sessions, security verification and requested service functions. Some family preferences, profile choices, activity progress and device artwork are kept in browser local storage. Local storage and cookies are different technologies; this policy covers both.
Technical examples
Family sign-in can use .StoryGlobally.Family, admin sign-in .StoryGlobally.Admin, and security verification .StoryGlobally.Xsrf. Family sessions have an 8-hour validity; admin sessions have a renewable 2-hour validity. Browser session settings also apply. sg-family-v4 stores family preferences, sg-profile-* the selected profile, and activity keys can hold local progress. Local records may remain until cleared or updated by the application.
External services and optional measurement
Playing YouTube videos can activate the provider’s connections and storage practices. If analytics or advertising tools are enabled separately, their provider, purpose, duration and choices must be described in the relevant consent interface. Viewing this page is not consent to optional tracking. This release does not itself enable new advertising tracking.
Controls and clearing
Browser settings can clear cookies and site data. This may sign you out and remove device PIN/time preferences or unsynchronised work. Account-synchronised records are stored separately. Sign out after using a shared device.
