Explore together
Children plant seeds in yoghurt pots with Nohut and her grandfather, look every day and see nothing, keep caring for the pots while they wait, and finally greet the tiny shoot with joy.
In the colouring pages, children colour Nohut planting seeds with Dede and gazing at the shoot, and tell in their own words how a seed becomes a plant. In seek-and-find, they look carefully around the balcony, the same patient looking Nohut does every morning.
Talk together
1) What did Nohut see each morning on the balcony? What did Dede say when the shoot came up? 2) Have you ever waited a long time for something? What did you do while you waited?
Together: Fill an empty yoghurt pot with soil and plant a few beans or lentils. Put it by the window and let your child check it every morning. When the shoot appears, give it a name together.
