About this collection
Explore together
Along with Miko, who tells her friend "I will miss you so much," the child practices saying how they feel when saying goodbye and making a plan together to meet again.
In the first coloring activity, the child colors Miko with a leaf on her nose under the oak tree; in the second, Woodpecker on the "spring bell" log, retelling the story in their own words while coloring. In the easy seek-and-find game, they find the forest's getting-ready-for-winter objects (an acorn, a red leaf, a mushroom, a pine cone, a feather); at the medium level, by the den at dusk, they find the little bell and the other objects and remember who Miko said goodbye to.
Talk together
1) Who did Miko say goodbye to before going to sleep? 2) What do you say when you leave a friend? Together: Before bed, take a "goodbye tour" and say good night to toys and things in the room one by one. Then choose a "wake-up sound" for the morning (like two little knocks on the door).
