About this collection
Explore together
The child tries telling Butty and their friends about their fear, practicing a little bit every day with their support, and gathering courage through music and play.
In the coloring activity, the child colors the butterflies in Festival Valley and the three friends dancing in the grass. While choosing a unique pattern for each butterfly’s wings, they discover that 'every butterfly is different, but they all fly together.' In the hidden object games, the child looks carefully for music notes, flowers, and little creatures as part of the festival preparations. Searching for a caterpillar is a reminder that the butterfly also couldn’t fly once. If the child gets stuck, asking a friend or an adult for a hint lets them practice teamwork like in the story.
Talk together
1. Who did Butty tell about their fear? How did the friends help? 2. If a friend is scared of something, how could you help them? Together: Play your favorite song and do the 'butterfly dance.' Spread your arms like wings; start on the ground with gentle wing flutters, then 'fly' on your tiptoes. Each round, let your child add a new move and you copy it.
