About this collection
Explore together
With Tofi, your child learns that everyone has their own special strengths. They try saying what they can’t do or what makes them feel scared, practice teaming up with a friend, and learn to thank someone who helps them.
In the coloring activity, your child colors the big Tofi and tiny Bee as they make a plan at the tunnel entrance, and then as they work together to pull out the carrot. While coloring, talk about “big and small” and what each character is especially good at. Play hidden object games together: one person finds an object, the other counts or marks it. This way, you get to share the kind of teamwork that happens in the story. The hidden "Bzzz" notes in the tunnel scene remind children how Tofi follows Bee’s sound in the dark.
Talk together
1. What could Bee do? What could Tofi do? 2. Tofi said, “I’m a little scared.” Who do you tell when you feel scared? Together: Try playing the “Follow the Bzzz” game! In a room cleared of obstacles, have your child close their eyes while you walk slowly and make a “Bzzz” sound. Let your child follow the sound to find you, then switch roles. At the end, work together to move a pile of cushions from one side of the room to the other: one person shows the way, the other carries the cushions.
