About this collection
Explore together
Children see Poyraz pushed into the background when his baby brother arrives, and try noticing a hard feeling like jealousy, telling a grown-up they trust, and finding their own way of being a big brother or sister.
In the colouring pages, children colour Poyraz singing a lullaby to his brother and the morning he reads a book on Mum's lap, and can talk about when they feel lonely or special in the family. In seek-and-find, they search the living room full of visitors and the breakfast table.
Talk together
1) At first Poyraz didn't tell anyone he was jealous. Who did he tell in the end, and what did she say? 2) Have you ever felt jealous of someone? What did you need then? Together: Set aside a weekly "just the two of us" time with your child; even fifteen minutes is enough, and they choose what you do. If there's a baby or younger sibling at home, teach them a lullaby or rhyme and sing it together.
