Pamuk had played many games that day. Blocks, puppets and paper covered the room. Dad said it was time to tidy up. Pamuk lifted a block, then sat down. The lamb’s arms felt heavy and thoughts felt crowded.

“I do not want to,” Pamuk said. Dad sat beside the lamb. “What feels difficult?” he asked. Pamuk thought about the whole busy day. “I need a little quiet,” the lamb explained.

They chose a short pause together. Dad said he felt tired too. Pamuk was surprised that grown-ups could need rest. They placed two cushions beside the sofa. Pamuk took a book and looked at its pictures without reading.

Mum brought a light blanket, and a sibling wanted to join. “Could we be quiet for now?” Pamuk asked. The sibling drew beside them. They did different things in the same corner, making room for each other.

After a while, Pamuk stood up. The toys were still there. Dad chose blocks, Mum chose paper, and Pamuk put puppets in a basket. The sibling found a missing puppet hat. Smaller parts made the job feel easier.

That evening they kept the resting corner. “We can use it tomorrow,” Pamuk said. Everyone did not have to feel tired at the same time. The corner remained a place to ask for a pause whenever someone needed one.
